We use Hootsuite to advertise for our residential rental properties and promote our company as well. Hootsuite is great for targeting locals and the surround area that are looking for rental properties. This software is commonly used by the middle age demographic that we are aiming for as renters. The marketing department typically uses the software to advertise daily. It is great for promoting and advertising our business.
  • Targets the desired audience that mostly use this website.
  • Helps narrow down your needs and wants in a home.
  • Provides many different cities, towns and areas of the country.
  • Expensive reports for small businesses.
  • Custom URL shorteners are pricey.
Hootsuite free is great for private renters to promote their own properties & not have to deplete their funds on advertising.

As a busy financial security advisor, I couldn't have time to handle my social media. On the other hand, I needed to be active on social media. Hootsuite helped me to manage my platforms easily and saved a lot of my time. than you Hootsuite!
  • Time saving
  • Analyzing the activities I do in social media
  • planning for performance for future time
  • Connecting to email campaign.
I recommend it to all business owners.

I currently use Hootsuite for two of my clients. I specifically use the scheduling and reporting tools. I have also used the premium version of the platform previously for other clients. In total, I've been using it for about 6 years or so. I've also used the app quite a bit.
  • Versioning posts per platform
  • Easy scheduling
  • Reporting types
  • I like the options for reporting but I find the interface really difficult to navigate.
  • Reporting metrics vary too much per platform.
  • Scheduling calendar is hard to navigate/preview posts
Hootsuite's best feature is how easy it is to vary posts per platform without having to schedule them separately. This is especially nice when I need to tag someone but they have different handles per platform.

Overall, I find scheduling on Hootsuite messy though. There are also features lacking in my opinion.

Hootsuite helps me plan and execute our social media planning and marketing campaigns. It allows me to look at a months worth at a time and see where the gaps are in our production. While also helping create great witty one liners for the captions while suggesting best times to post.
  • Scheduling
  • Writing
  • Bulk composing
  • I wish I did not have to have a FB page to schedule in IG
I have suggested it to everyone who can because it is truly the best combination of things along with the classes they provide. From TikTok to LinkedIn all the major socials are available to post through Hootsuite. when we had a large survey come out it was great to make my post cross platforms at once

I used Hootsuite for social media marketing management on behalf of one of our clients. The software allowed us to plan and schedule social media posts as part of a larger marketing engagement supporting this client. The software worked great for us until they restructured payment plans, at which point, the software exceeded the budget allocated by our client.
  • Social media planning and publishing
  • customer engagmeent
  • activity monitoring
  • Some parts of the UI could use improvement. It was somewhat confusing.
I feel that Hootsuite would be well-suited for a marketing team to manage multiple accounts and get deep analytics. It would also work well for team collaboration and content curation. Hootsuite might be less appropriate for small-scale or personal use or for marketing teams with a limited need for analytics. It also seems to be less agile than other platforms for real-time engagement.

For Hootsuite, we use it in the marketing department to help share posts on our social media channels. Right now, that consists of just myself but [I'm] hoping that will be expanded over time. This helps [me] schedule and put together monthly content calendars for our social media channels and see them all in one structured place.
  • The layout is great and how you can see the monthly calendar is appealing to the eye.
  • Hootsuite is very easy with incorporating and linking to your existing social media channels, [whereas] other programs have not been as smooth.
  • The whole process of adding images, creating posts, and scheduling them is very easy in Hootsuite.
  • Tagging pages in posts doesn't always work or the pages do not pop up
  • Not having the ability to reshare or retweet posts
  • Analytics side of things
Hootsuite is great for posting and scheduling new content for your social media channels. It is a timesaver and a great way of seeing everything you have scheduled/posted in one place. It would be nice to be able to tag other pages/accounts from Hootsuite a little easier though.

We are using Hootsuite Enterprise to better coordinate our social media channels/messages. It has helped to streamline our external recruiting processes and has allowed multiple departments to begin working together to produce content and schedule posts.
  • Hootsuite Enterprise allows us to access more social media channels than the other products we've looked at. They've also been open about upcoming additions, which has allowed us to plan which channels we may use in the future.
  • When we've had a problem with a post or using Hootsuite Enterprise in general, the support team has responded quickly. While it is never convenient to have something stop working, it is nice to count on their quick response.
  • The Team Hierarchy structure is straightforward and has been simple to use as we've had to adjust access for individuals who have moved to various teams.
  • There is no simple way to preview how a post will appear on the various social media platforms. It makes it tough to know what to expect without some trial and error.
  • I wish there was more transparency about how each feature works. For example, Hootsuite allows you to post multiple pictures on Facebook in one post. However, when they go live it actually posts each picture separately. Knowing how it works ahead of time allows us to tailor our approach.
Hootsuite Enterprise is a good tool to use when you have multiple social media accounts that you need to manage simultaneously. If you only were using one platform, it may be sufficient to use their own native management tools (Facebook pages, etc.). Hootsuite's ability to create teams and provide varying access for users is also an important feature. If there is only one person who posts on social media and an approval is not required, Hootsuite may not be a necessary tool.

I work in a local non-profit, therefore our company consists of only 2 employees. Both I and the other employee wear several "hats" within the organization. Hootsuite allows me to quickly switch over to my marketing "hat" to schedule posts on our social media. The simplicity of Hootsuite lets me be stress-free about reaching our online audience. I can spend minimal time scheduling out a week's worth of posts and get back to the worthy cause of my organization.
  • aesthetic look is not overwhelming
  • Easily reschedule posts & edit
  • Customer Service is AMAZING
  • Would be nice if there was a free upgraded version for non-profits
  • Honestly it can't get any easier haha
For those that are new to Hootsuite, it is the simplest form of managing content. There are analytics, scheduling, and more! You won't need to spend more than 5 -10 minutes trying to learn Hootsuite. That's how easy it is. Simple design, BUT maximum possibilities. I started using Hootsuite after college, and don't see myself switching over to any other content manager.

We use it for social media management. 1. Hootsuite provides that much needed single point where we can deploy social media posts across various social media platforms - be it linkedin, facebook or Google my business (GMB). Hootsuite is especially well integrated with social media platforms so that any content deployed via its interface effectively complies with their individual policies. Thus, it is a must for productivity to begin with 2. Social media planning, too, thus becomes quite efficient once its a single platform 3. Tracking performance of social media campaigns is yet another added benefit where a single software can indicate ROAS (return on ad spend) across multiple social platforms (works better in paid version; the free version has limited use on this front)
  • productive, centralized social media management
  • Centralized social media campaign planning
  • Centralized and productive social media performance tracking
  • Efficient compliance to individual social media platform policies
  • Social media tracking could still be deeper (entire funnel journey - down to specific, customizable conversion goals)
  • ROI tracking of high detail should be available in free trial so that one can map customer journey before investing further
The free version is a must for any business with internet and thus social media presence. The paid version is more crucial for businesses where social media is a key link in the sales process

I use Hootsuite to draft and schedule social media content across multiple social media channels including Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest. The calendar function helps keep me organized and gives a 360 degree view of all social media activity across each main platform I am using. The free version only allows 5 posts to be scheduled at a single time so I use the drafts folder to create content and schedule out at a later time.
  • Social media scheduling
  • Social media platform connections
  • Social media organization
  • Photo crop tool doesn’t always work correctly
  • More folder organization would be nice
  • Hashtag recommendations would be nice
It is well suited for a small business or marketing team that is in need of a social media management tool to keep them organized and streamline their workflow. Social media content organization and scheduling on a smaller scale is where Hootsuite really seems to thrive. It is well suited for businesses using only a few platforms primarily.

I use Hootsuite to schedule the Twitter posts for the organization. It allows me to get social media out of the way so I can focus on other more pressing jobs. I like the fact it allows you to shorten links as well as add alt text meaning. It saves me time and allows me to put more time into other tasks.
  • Nice format.
  • Easy to use.
  • Compatible with multiple social media platforms.
  • Loads of free gifs and images available to use.
  • Adding more on the free version.
  • Free pro accounts for charities.
  • Bigger box for alt text as text gets lost.
Hootsuite is useful if you are managing multiple social media accounts and want to manage your posts in one place. Also, it's good for people who don't have much time so having them posting in the background will be beneficial. Hootsuite may be less appropriate for people whose sole job is running one social media account.

I use Hootsuite to schedule and post all of my social media posts over several platforms. This helps me by allowing me to schedule in advance and not have to worry about posting daily. It also allows me to post over several platforms all in one place. It is a time saver since I can use the same text in one place. I schedule things weeks in advance and know I don't have to worry about it. It allows me unlimited scheduled posts since I am on the paid plan but it is worth the money. I used the free plan for a while but it didn't do enough for me. I am happy with it and I feel it is the best around. I have looked at others but I didn't feel like I needed them. Hootsuite also allows you to track your analytics and see what is working. They make suggestions on when to post too. There are more features that I don't use and I wish I had the time to learn to use them but my other job duties just don't allow the time. I highly recommend it!
  • Schduleing
  • Analytics
  • Cross platform
  • Make the calendar a little smaller so you can see more on the screen
It is great if you want to schedule your social media in advance. It allows you to plan ahead and promote over several social media platforms. It is a time saver and worth the cost of the paid version. I couldn't live without this software. If you are small and not posting much then it might not be for you but if you are a regular poster then try it and you won't go back.

I use Hootsuite to manage and schedule my social media posts, mostly for Twitter, but also a bit for Linkedin. It makes it easier for me to view my posts and interactions across multiple social media networks. Seeing multiple streams on a single screen enables a more proactive and dynamic engagement with my social media contacts.
  • Multiple streams on a single screen
  • Scheduling posts (albeit only 5 after a recent change)
  • Connecting more than one social media service within a single platform
  • The arbitrary limit of 5 scheduled posts is very frustrating. This limit used to be higher and it seems they lowered it just to get more money
  • Limit on number of accounts that can be hooked up on the free platform
  • Sometimes the stream moves very quickly and there is no way that I have found to halt it so that I can read something before it scrolls off... this is mostly for my Home Twitter stream that tracks posts by those I follow
I find it very well-suited for tracking a small number of social media accounts. Viewing streams that show, for example, my Twitter Home, Followers, Posts, Likes, Retweets, and scheduled posts - all on one screen - simplifies social media management. I run a small business though, so I can envision where the free version of Hootsuite might not be sufficient for a large organization with a lot of social media accounts, users, and activity. That said, I would be lost without Hootsuite for my basic social media interactions.

Everyone knows Linkedin has an algorithm and Hootsuite is a great tool that allows you to make the most of the Linkedin algorithm. If you are regularly posting on Linkedin, the ability to schedule, duplicate and move posts around on the publish allows you to always be active in your networks. The ease with which you can reschedule posts and repost old posts makes creating content almost thoughtless. It is almost plug and play in terms of its ease of use and I would fully recommend to anyone looking to take a more structured approach to their social media
  • Suggest timings for posts
  • Ability to duplicate old posts
  • Ability to move pre written posts if something comes up
  • Ability to schedule more than 5 posts on the free version
  • Allows you to tag people in the posts
  • Suggest hashtags
Hootsuite is great for being able to schedule posts to go out at the exact key times that work with the Linkedin algorithm Hootsuite is great for moving posts around with ease if you have a last-minute post come in Hootsuite is great for people able to copy and paste old posts on the publisher to help you create more content.

We use Hootsuite in our Digital Communications Analytics class every semester to assist students in their preparation for the working world. Students often asked for more insights and education in the tools used by today's brands and agencies to measure success. By providing Hootsuite in the classroom, we give our students a better chance at success right now and in the future.
  • Easy to get started
  • Training videos that are not hard to understand
  • Industry-leading platform
  • Sometimes the dashboard can "lag" behind
  • Does not always show posts in specific sections, like mentions
  • Layout can be an issue at times
Hootsuite works really well in the classroom setting. Even though I've used it often outside the classroom, I find it more effective in the classroom. Students get an idea what they can look for with clients or brands. Outside the classroom, I do not use the dashboard as often. Instead I opt for Twitter's webpage or it's app.

I utilize Hootsuite to post social media graphics across ten channels. Some channels are public facing, and some are internal Facebook groups. This software helps to save me time, as some weeks we have over 100 posts scheduled across the channels. We have three different audiences - client, potential business partner, and current business associates, so I enjoy the feature that I can change the copy based on the channel I am posting to right in the same scheduling window.
  • Scheduling social posts
  • Ability to edit copy for different channels
  • Easy of use for new users
  • Duplicating posts to reuse week to week
  • Sometimes scheduled posts fail to send
  • Copy customization across accounts, not just channels type
Hootsuite is well suited for businesses who post across multiple platforms and need to adjust their copy messaging in each channels. Hootsuite would be less appropriate for small businesses that are only posting to one or two accounts and keeping the copy the same. I do not feel the price of the software is worth the return for this type of client.

I started using Hootsuite to help streamline posting on social media to support our new event. It was taking to long to post on each type of social media account. As a small business owner I needed something that would reduce time needed for social media posting which is not something I enjoy.
  • Editing scheduled posts is very helpful
  • Schedule view is great to see how posts are set
  • The mentions in the streams make it easier to comment when you are tagged.
  • The free version keeps losing features which is disappointing. Went to another program because of this. Now I see they are totally closing. Monthly cost was too much
The free version was worth trying for a new business starting with social media. Now that they are removing that options I do not remove. In my opinion, $99 a month is just too much. $10 a month sure! Definitely not $99/ month which is why I went to another platform (Later). Hootsuite did have a few features I liked better, but not $100 a month better, can live without them.

We mainly used Hootsuite to post on multiple channels at once as well as schedule posts for the future. The other aspect of the posting that was very beneficial was the ability to customize posts for each channel in a simple way.

This helped us schedule out and plan ahead for posts and on multiple channels to stay engaged early and often

We use Hootsuite to schedule our client's social media posts across several different platforms. It saves us a ton of time having all of the client accounts already signed in so we aren't logging in and out of different platforms all the time. It also allows me to easily handle reporting for my clients.
  • Schedules client social media across multiple platforms.
  • Provides detailed analytics.
  • It has a nice area for storing media.
  • Allows client reviews before publishing.
  • You have to use the ow.ly shortener for links.
  • It disconnects your platforms sometimes, and you have to reconnect.
It is really helpful for a digital agency that has multiple clients that must manage multiple platforms. It makes it easy to store images in one spot and share them across all. However, it has gotten very expensive to use, and things like analytics reports are often add-ons as well. There are other platforms that would be better for someone that just manages their own accounts, or just has a couple to manage.

We use Hootsuite for social listening, social media management, and social media analytics. Using Hootsuite, we are able to post content to all social media channels of choice and monitor the engagement of the content, reach, and other performance metrics without having to log into each social media platform separately. I also get useful insights on share of voice and what's buzzing on social media and competitive benchmarking for better content planning
  • In-depth social media analytics across all platforms to give complete perspective
  • Competitive intel and market updates through social listening
  • Hootsuite academy is a great resource to learn more about latest trends and techniques in social media management
  • Set up process can be seamless, it is difficult to configure in self serve mode
  • Pricing is very high and can be made more affordable for smaller companies
  • Unable to tag people on images on social media and has to be done manually
Hootsuite is extreme delight in situations where there are too many social media platforms to manage and rapid and tailored content deployment across social media channels according to platform needs. It is particularly very useful for big brands and consumer brands with a large target audience. It is cumbersome to use for tagging oriented posts as this has to be done manually.

Hootsuite helps us schedule social media content, monitor engagement and track performance for our clients seamlessly and efficiently.
  • Easy to use platform
  • Clean interface
  • Social post scheduling
  • Social media engagement
  • Social media analytics
  • I'm not sure if this would change with upgrading, but the free version doesn't allow for a 24/7 rep or live chat. Typically I have to wait a day or two for support.
Hootsuite is well-suited for clients who want to give you the reigns to manage social media without their input. It's easy to use, there are several resources and courses to use it better, and they're constantly making upgrades to help you along the way.

Hootsuite is a great cost effective tool for small businesses to get started and scale up from there. The free version includes plenty of great tools to get you started as you build your business. You can start out with big business tolls at small business prices. I use it to manage my social media accounts to save time and plan ahead so I can focus on the things I need to and not worry about marketing.
  • Tools to help you get started
  • Easy to navigate Admin Panel
  • Robust free version
  • Comprehensive help center
  • They could have a version in between the free and professional in the $29 range
  • Contend Library not available until the Business Plan which is a substantial cost.
  • Message Approvals not included until upgrade to the Business Plan as well.
The free version is best suited to small businesses starting on a small budget and has enough to start, but the price jump to Professional is reasonably priced, however, it does not include some features of other platforms in this category and price range. So depending on your budget Hootsuite might not be for you unless you have a decent size marketing budget. I would recommend for any small business starting out to try the Trial and see if it is for you, for a small business the Professional version should be all you need.

It's excellent for a small business to start with the free version, to see the benefits and see its business growing by using Hootsuite. In the case of a big company with more than one team collaborating on Digital marketing, Hootsuite is a must (sharing, scheduling, monitoring, and saving time).

I use it to help automatise the process of posting on linked in and to make sure that I am able to get the post up and live at the peak times to ensure that it can gain as much traction as possible. I also appreciate being able to sort out all of my posts for the week in one day and don't have to keep reminding myself to do it.

When doing marketing, advertising, and business development it comes in helpful. Where it may struggle is with small businesses that need to post a lot but, don't necessarily have the financial viability to pay for the service. I personally only use it for LinkedIn as that is where all of my business work is located and the audience that I am trying to reach.
